Name one person who has had an impact on your life and explain why.
My best friend and wife of over 17 years. Through my first business in computer consulting to this next phase of my life, she has encouraged and supported me to reach for new goals & has challenged me to reach further than I thought myself capable.
How did you become interested in becoming a massage therapist?
I have had a lifelong interest in wellness which has led me to more use of massage in recent years. A respected local therapist encouraged me to pursue it as a career. I have also been studying buddhism over the years and this seems like a natural fit.
What led you to choose Central Maryland School of Massage as your massage therapy school?
After researching and touring multiple local schools, i chose this one because of location, staff and curriculum.
Name one thing you cannot live without and why.
Birding and being outdoors in nature. It recharges me!
Name one country you would love to visit and why.
Japan- their culture, history and use of holistic practices is intriguing.
Are you a dog or cat person? Or both or neither?
Definitely a dog person- I love coming home to my golden retriever and rescue spaniel mix every day! They bring much joy!

What are your plans after graduating from massage therapy school?
Be licensed and practicing massage therapy by August 2018. I will also pursue additional training on other modalties to expand my skill set. I also want to return to CMSM to pursue a faculty position assisting teachers.
